The ABCs of the VUP
The discovery call. You schedule a call here and submit the VUP survey. On our one-hour-ish call, we review your problem copy, confirm your key personas, and prepare the brief for your VUP day.
Fully booked for you. On your VUP day, I wield my copywriting chops (and my Ph.D.) for your benefit exclusively. No texting. No Facebook. (Moderate snacking.) From ~8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., I have eyes for your project–and your project alone.
A well-rested review. The next day, I give your project a fresh set of eyes. Then I send it your way. You check it out, sleep on it, and we have a brief call to celebrate.

Conversion copy = science + style. For your copy makeover, we apply key rules for sales conversion, including: one audience, one message, one call to action. Next, I review which of the seven modes of persuasion are foregrounded in your copy. If you’re using social proof and authority, say, I make certain the claims are clear and concise. I then look for opportunities to add more persuasion, too.The Final Sweep Editing Checklist
To wrap up the project, I check for clarity, concision, and cadence. I double-check every claim and crosshead, and make sure your new copy helps inspire your prospects to take action.
